Always Polite and Helpful

My Brother was in Pelham house from October 2011 till January 2016. He was looked after very well by all the staff. They were always polite, helpful and got him back to leading a normal life again. It is thanks to their hard work that he is now able to lead a normal life in the outside world again.

Warm and Welcoming

Losing her own home was devastating to my Mother but Pelham Care Home is so homely, warm and welcoming that she settled in in no time and I feel that she is looked after in a dignified manner in a clean caring environment.

Her room is bright and airy, the staff are very friendly and kind and the food is excellent. I can relax knowing that Mum is safe and secure in the best home of its kind in Folkestone.

Felt 'At Home'

Moving a family member from their home to care facilities is one of the hardest tasks any of us has to face. I visited many establishments, most were lovely but it was not until I stepped in to Pelham that I felt 'at home'.

Feelings are hard to quantify, but I was greeted by smiles, could hear laughter from the conservatory and was told to sit and enjoy the garden. To me that was home. All the staff are happy, polite and genuinely interested in you and your relative.

My aunt has been happy at Pelham for a year now, she is tanned and rested because she sits in the beautiful (easily accessible) gardens most days. She has made two good friends, as she is almost blind, friendship is vital.

Whenever you visit, the staff are happy to see you. Whenever you ring, they are happy to chat or take the phone to your relative.

My aunt said ' all the staff are lovely ,they always have time for you' The home is clean and sweet smelling just as you would expect in your own home.

Work Tirelessly to Look After Everyone

My family and I have been very happy with the care my mother has received at Pelham House. The premises are always very clean. The staff work tirelessly to look after everyone under difficult circumstances associated with looking after old people of varying degrees of disability. Any suggestions made by the family have always been implemented very quickly.

Caring Attitude

It was a very hard and heartbreaking decision to put my father into care. Suffering from Alzheimer's we were recommend Pelham House by a friend. From the first moment I can't fault the caring attitude the staff have shown to both my dad and his family.

He has settled in and the staff are have been brilliant with him, we know he is good hands. Thank you for looking after my dad and caring for him so very well.

Surrounded by people who truly care about her

Working in the NHS I knew exactly what I wanted from a Care Home. Pelham House delivers this. Family run. My mum loves being surrounded by people who truly care about her and I am confident that all her needs are met and that she is flourishing under their care.

Would happily recommend to anyone

Best Homes in Folkestone

My wife went into care at the end of August suffering from dementia.
We have been married 65 years and I miss her at home, unfortunately, I have bowel cancer myself and could no longer give her the care and attention she needs.

She obtains this at Pelham House, which in my opinion is one of the best homes in Folkestone.

Feel Welcome

I had the pleasure of volunteering at Pelham with the residents on a companionship basis. The staff and residents all made me feel welcome. Pelham is a truly warm care home and I look forward to visiting again later in the year.
